Pasture-Raised in the West Country for Flavour
We source our organic lamb from farmers that share our commitment to sustainable, ethical farming. Russell Ashford’s dedication to organic farming makes him an invaluable part of our community, and we’re proud to offer his exceptional produce at The Organic Butchery.
Located in the breathtaking landscape of Dartmoor, Russel’s Bowden Farm operates under full organic certification, meaning that they work with heritage breeds and every animal is reared to the highest welfare standards, with freedom to roam, forage naturally, and grow at a natural pace.
Our lambs mature naturally, giving you organic lamb meat with authentic flavour and texture; tender, succulent, and richly savoury.
Organic Lamb Cuts For Every Kitchen
If you like pan-frying chops for a midweek supper or serving a traditional Sunday roast, you can expect honest, satisfying flavour the whole family will love. Our collection of organic lamb offers options for every cooking style.
- For everyday meals, Organic Lamb Mince is a tried-and-tested option. Use it for shepherd’s pie, meatballs, or a rich ragù. It delivers full flavour and excellent texture, perfect for bringing character to any number of dishes.
- If you’re looking for something quick to cook, Organic Lamb Loin Chops and Organic Lamb Leg Steak are ideal for pan-frying or grilling. They’re succulent, tender, and offer a refined way to enjoy organic lamb meat.
- If you like slow cooking, Organic Diced Lamb, Organic Lamb Shank, and Organic Lamb Shoulder Chops come into their own. Gentle braising transforms these cuts into deeply flavourful, tender dishes that reward patience.
- If you’re preparing a centrepiece, our Organic Whole Rack of Lamb brings elegance to the table. Boneless shoulder joints provide another excellent option for slow roasting and carving.
We also believe in making full use of every animal. Organic Lamb Liver, Organic Lamb Bones, and Organic Lamb Bone Broth support nose-to-tail cooking, helping you reduce waste while adding nourishment and depth to your dishes.
Certified Organic Standards From Farm To Butchery
When we describe our lamb as certified organic, we refer to a comprehensive system of standards. These standards determine the space available for animals to graze, how their feed is grown (without unapproved pesticides or fertilisers), and their welfare.
Organic certification also oversees the proper use of medicines and closely monitors the conditions of slaughter and butchery. This ensures our organic lamb meat is produced with transparency, care, and accountability every step of the way.
Our organic lamb collection includes award-winning meat recognised by Great Taste, Taste Of The West, and BOOM awards. These awards are independent endorsements of the quality and taste that drive everything we do.
At Organic Butchery, our skilled butchers prepare each joint and cut with precision, drawing on traditional knowledge and a deep respect for the animal. If you’re unsure which organic lamb cut will suit your recipe or occasion, simply ask, and we’re always here to help. Contact us here.
Sustainable Farming And Traditional Craft
We’re passionate about sustainable farming practices and big, bold flavours. We work closely with organic farms that share our commitment to farming that honours the land and preserves the beauty of the West Country.
If you prefer other meat options, explore our range of organic beef, organic chicken, organic turkey, or organic fish. We source and prepare all meat and fish to the same standards of certified organic and ethical sourcing.
