Delivery
Getting your order to you
How much is delivery, and when is it free?
Delivery is calculated at checkout based on your address. It's free on orders over £125. There's a minimum order of £50.
Can I choose my delivery day?
Yes — pick any available delivery day at checkout that suits you. If you have a subscription, you can change the delivery day for any order from your account.
When is my order cut and dispatched?
Your order is cut fresh to order and packed the morning it ships, so it arrives in peak condition for your chosen delivery day.
How is my order kept fresh in transit?
Everything travels in an insulated box lined with 100% sheep's wool, with food-safe ice packs that keep your order chilled below 5°C for up to 48 hours.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver across mainland UK. Enter your postcode at checkout to see available delivery days for your area.
Your order
Orders, subscriptions & account
Is there a minimum order?
Yes, the minimum order is £50. Free delivery kicks in over £125.
Do I have to subscribe?
Not at all. Every box and every cut is available as a one-off order. A subscription simply unlocks free delivery and lets you set a delivery schedule.
Can I skip, pause or cancel a subscription?
Anytime, from your account — skip a delivery, change the frequency, or cancel entirely. No calls, no notice period.
Can I add a gift message?
Yes. Add your message in the basket before checkout and we'll include it with the order — gift orders never show prices.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Get in touch as soon as possible and we'll do everything we can before your order is cut and dispatched.
The meat
Quality, sourcing & storage
Is all your meat organic?
All our meat and poultry is certified organic — Soil Association certified — and reared on British family farms we know by name. The exceptions are our wild-caught fish and wild game: they're wild, not farmed, so they can't carry organic certification, but they're every bit as carefully sourced.
What does "previously frozen" mean?
Some products — mostly wild fish and game — have been frozen to lock in freshness, and are labelled "previously frozen". They arrive chilled and defrosted, ready for your fridge. Once defrosted, don't refreeze; enjoy within the shelf life shown.
How long will my meat keep?
The minimum shelf life is shown on each product and includes your delivery day, and every pack carries its own use-by date. For the best quality, keep it refrigerated at 0–5°C, or freeze it before the use-by date if you're not using it fresh.
Why is organic meat better?
Organic means slower-growing breeds, more time outdoors, a natural diet and higher welfare — all independently certified. Beyond the ethics, that's exactly what gives the meat its deeper flavour, better texture and richer fat.
What if something isn't right?
Tell us within 48 hours of delivery and we'll refund or replace it — no quibbles.
Packaging & storage
When your box lands
Is the packaging recyclable?
Yes. The outer box and liner go in your kerbside recycling, and the wool insulation is natural and compostable. Ice packs can be refrozen and reused, or emptied and recycled.
What if I'm not home when it arrives?
The insulation and ice packs keep everything chilled for up to 48 hours, so your order will stay fresh in a safe, shaded spot until you're back.
How should I store everything when it arrives?
Unpack as soon as you can and refrigerate at 0–5°C. Anything you won't use before its use-by date freezes beautifully — defrost thoroughly in the fridge before cooking, and don't refreeze once thawed.
