Types of Organic Bones and Frames

We’ve carefully selected our Organic Bones and Frames to help you make rich, nutritious broth or stock at home. Each type of Organic Bones or Organic Frames will bring its unique character to your dish, from light, crystal-clear poultry stock to deep, rich beef or game stock, all prepared by our expert butchers. They’re ready to simmer to bring out the flavour in soups, stews, sauces, and more.

Organic Beef Bones for Hearty, Deep Stocks

We choose cuts that deliver rich, satisfying flavour. Our Organic Beef Stock Bones provide a traditional foundation for a classic beef stock, filling your kitchen with the aroma of rich, savoury goodness as they simmer in hot water or stock. If you like extra depth and indulgence, our Organic Beef Marrow Bones add satisfying richness, ideal for roasting first or simmering into broth.

Additionally, cuts such as Organic Beef Osso Buco and Organic Beef Knuckle Joint, which combine bone and meat, release deep, traditional flavour during long, slow cooking. Note that some of our organic beef bones come previously frozen, with a minimum shelf life of three days. Because of this, don’t refreeze them again.

Organic Chicken Bones for Light, Versatile Stock

Our Organic Chicken Carcass is a beautifully balanced choice for lighter stocks. It’s freshly butchered to order and has a minimum shelf life of three days, including the delivery day.

When you simmer it gently, it yields a clear, comforting base that complements delicate soups and sauces with a nutrient-rich, collagen-packed base without overpowering other ingredients.

Organic Pork Bones for Broths

For a richer, more robust base, we offer Organic Pork Stock Bones. These bones slowly release savoury notes that build body and warmth in broths and gravies. They’re freshly butchered to order and have a minimum shelf life of eight days.

Our Organic Pork Trotters are also a traditional favourite that gelatinises beautifully when simmered. Packed with gelatin, trotters are meatier than you might think. When slow-cooked, they'll yield tender meat, hearty stock, and lots of jelly, perfect for pies and terrines. They arrive previously frozen and have a shelf life of three days, including the delivery day.

Organic Salmon Frames for Lighter Fish Stocks

Our Organic Salmon Frames bring a fresh, coastal twist to stock making. Perfect for seafood soups, chowders, and sauces, salmon frames offer a gentle but distinctive flavour profile that goes well with herbs and seasonal vegetables. They arrive partially frozen, remain perfectly safe to eat within three days, and you can conveniently store them in your freezer for later enjoyment.

Organic Lamb and Mutton Bones for Rustic Depth

We also prepare rich, traditional bases from lamb and mutton. Our Organic Lamb Bones are great for rustic stocks that suit hearty cooking, while Organic Lamb Shank and Organic Mutton Bones provide flavour and character ideal for slow-cooked dishes. These cuts reflect our nose-to-tail philosophy, and come with a minimum shelf life of three to six days.

Organic Duck Bones and Giblets for Poultry Stock

If you’re looking for an intense poultry base, our Organic Duck Carcass delivers a richer flavour foundation than lighter chicken stock. You can also add Organic Duck Giblets to further deepen complexity and savouriness, making it a wonderful choice for slow-cooked broths and sauces that benefit from a bird-forward character. They both arrive previously frozen with a shelf life of three days, including the delivery day.

Wild Venison Bones for Gamey, Distinctive Broths

Our Wild Venison Bones bring bold game notes to your cooking. These bones form a rich base that pairs beautifully with autumnal vegetables, red wine reductions, and traditional British game recipes, adding depth and interest to your stock pot. They also come previously frozen with a minimum shelf life of three days, including the delivery day.

A True Nose-To-Tail Philosophy In Practice

We treat every animal with respect and purpose. A whole carcass offers far more than the familiar steaks and chops, and we make sure those undervalued cuts return to the table where they belong. That commitment shapes everything we do.

Across our carefully prepared product ranges, from organic beef, organic bone broth and organic lamb to organic duck and organic turkey, we work closely with trusted farms and skilled butchers to ensure nothing is wasted. Each collection reflects certified organic standards, high welfare, and traditional craft.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where Can I Get Bones for Broth in the UK?

If you’re wondering where to get bones for bone broth, choose a trusted, certified organic butcher. At Organic Butchery, we deliver organic bones across the UK, including beef, pork, and poultry bones, as well as poultry carcasses, prepared by skilled butchers to ensure quality and consistency.

What are the Best Bones for Stock and Broth?

Organic beef marrow bones and knuckle joints are the best, as they produce rich broth and stock. For a lighter broth, poultry carcasses are the way to go. However, you can mix and match different types of bones to create a balanced broth.

Are Organic Beef Bones Different from Standard Beef Bones?

Organic beef bones come from cattle raised to certified organic standards, without routine antibiotics or artificial feed. These higher-welfare and natural-rearing methods contribute to flavour and reflect ethical, sustainable farming practices.

How Much Organic Bone Marrow Do I Need for a Meal?

As a starter, a marrow bone per person is a good measure. For broth, you can mix organic marrow bones with other bones for a rich, satisfying, flavourful stock.
