A weeknight staple with a little more crunch.
Take classic chilli in a slightly different direction by getting the organic steak mince really deeply browned before adding smoky spices, tomatoes and beans.
You'll need
- 400g Organic Beef Steak Mince
- 1 red onion, finely diced
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp chilli flakes
- 400g chopped tomatoes
- 1 tin black beans, drained
- 1 lime
- Fresh coriander
Method
Get a large frying pan really hot, add the mince and leave it undisturbed for a minute or two before breaking it apart. You want plenty of dark, caramelised edges.
Add the onion and cook until softened, followed by the garlic and spices.
Pour in the tomatoes and black beans and simmer for 15–20 minutes until rich and thick. Finish with lime juice and plenty of fresh coriander.
Serve it your way: spoon over rice with avocado and yoghurt, stuff into wraps, or pile over tortilla chips for an easy sharing dinner.
