Wild Venison Mince and Diced for Everyday Cooking

If you are new to venison, wild venison mince is a good place to start. It adds a subtle game flavour to burgers, ragus, chillies, or cottage pie, providing a more luxurious alternative to ordinary mince while remaining low in fat and rich in flavour. Venison is also much lower in fat than other meats, but its rich, dark meat is a delicious addition to ragus or sauces.

For hearty, slow-cooked meals, wild venison diced is the best option. Casseroles, stews, and curries benefit from the rich flavour, especially when cooked slowly over time. Each piece melts into a sumptuously soft texture, absorbing bold flavours and spices while maintaining its distinctive, robust, meaty profile in every dish.

Wild Venison Steaks, Loin Steaks, and Fillets For Refined Meals

For more refined meals, wild venison steaks and loin steaks provide quick, delicious results. Venison meat is low in fat, but this makes it all the more important to cook it to perfection to ensure it stays tender. It should be left to stand to ensure it stays juicy and flavourful.

When you want something truly special, wild venison fillets are the epitome of luxury, providing the perfect centerpiece for special occasions. Juicy and exceptionally lean, these fillet steaks are rich in flavour and a decadent dinnertime treat. Juicy and rich, yet iconically lean, venison steaks are a real treat in our house.

Haunch, Saddle, and Bones for Proper Roasts and Stocks

For your parties and celebrations, our wild venison haunch, boned and rolled, or bone-in, has the classic roast qualities you're looking for. They're easy to carve, full of flavour, and impressive in presentation for your dinner table.

If you want personal servings with a pop of presentation flair, wild venison saddle chops deliver restaurant-style presentation at home. For those who want to use every part of the animal in a hearty stock or gravy, our wild venison bones are the best option and a nod to the nose-to-tail living movement, no waste, only full flavour.

Wild Venison, Organic Values

While there is’t any certified organic venison, our values remain the same. We take pride in our ethical practices and treat wild meat with the same respect and care as our certified organic meats.

Our approach to wild meat is a throwback to a pre-industrial food system: respect the animal, use the whole animal, and waste nothing. From the bones for stock to the premium fillets for a special occasion, we want to use every cut of meat to honour the effort of bringing food from the field to the table.

If you’re interested in something else, consider exploring our wild game collection or our award-winning organic beef, organic turkey, and organic chicken. For more traditional roasts, check out our organic lamb or rich, flavourful organic duck.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Wild Venison be Certified Organic?

No. Wild Venison isn’t available as a certified organic product since it’s sourced from British Deer, which are hunted in the wild. Nevertheless, it’s sustainably sourced and produced to the same high standards as our other organic products.

Is Venison Meat Leaner Than Beef?

Yes. Venison is considered one of the leanest red meats. It’s packed with protein and has relatively low fat compared to beef.

What Is the Best Cut for First-Time Venison Cooks?

Mince and diced venison are a good place to start if you’ve not cooked venison before. You can easily incorporate these cuts into a variety of recipes to add an extra dimension of flavour. Steak and fillet cuts of venison are better suited for cooks with more experience in the kitchen.

How Should I Cook Wild Venison so It Stays Tender?

Since wild venison is naturally lean, don’t overcook quick cuts such as steaks and fillets. Cook briefly and allow the meat to rest before serving. For diced cuts or haunch, slow cooking helps develop tenderness and depth of flavour.
