The native red-legged partridge roams freely across the wild, open moorlands of Dartmoor, feeding on a natural diet of sweet heather seeds and abundant insects. This natural lifestyle results in delicate, tender flesh that is pale, flavourful, and particularly succulent when young. As a smaller game bird, a whole partridge is perfectly portioned to serve one person. Our seasonal game is ethically harvested by licensed professionals, strictly during designated hunting periods—specifically from 1st September to 1st February.
