The Organic Butchery’s Best Chicken Caesar Salad
A proper Caesar salad should be anything but ordinary.
This is our elevated take on the classic — made using succulent organic chicken breast, crispy organic bacon, perfectly boiled eggs, generous parmesan, crisp lettuce, crunchy homemade croutons, and a rich, creamy Caesar dressing made from scratch.
Using premium organic ingredients makes all the difference here, creating a salad that feels indulgent enough for dinner while still being fresh, vibrant, and beautifully balanced.

Ingredients
For the salad
- 2 The Organic Butchery Organic Chicken Breasts
- 6 rashers The Organic Butchery Organic Bacon
- 2 large eggs
- 2 romaine lettuces
- 50g parmesan, shaved
- 2 slices sourdough bread
- Olive oil
- Sea salt
- Freshly cracked black pepper
For the Caesar dressing
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Greek yoghurt
- 1 garlic clove, finely grated
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 anchovy fillets, finely chopped (optional but recommended)
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 25g finely grated parmesan
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Black pepper
Method
Cook the eggs
Bring a pan of water to the boil.
Carefully lower in the eggs and boil for 7 minutes for a perfectly jammy centre.
Transfer immediately to iced water, peel, and set aside.
Roast the bacon
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Lay the organic bacon on a lined tray and cook for 10–12 minutes until crisp.
Set aside.
Cook the chicken
Season the organic chicken breasts generously with sea salt and black pepper.
Heat a frying pan with a little olive oil over medium heat.
Cook for 6–7 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until golden and cooked through.
Rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Make the croutons
Tear the sourdough into rough chunks.
Toss with olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper.
Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp.
Make the Caesar dressing
Whisk together all dressing ingredients until smooth and creamy.
Taste and adjust with extra lemon or parmesan if needed.
It should be rich, savoury, tangy, and deeply flavourful.
Assemble
Roughly chop the romaine lettuce and place into a large serving bowl.
Add a generous drizzle of dressing and toss to coat.
Top with sliced organic chicken breast, crispy bacon, halved boiled eggs, shaved parmesan, and warm croutons.
Finish with another drizzle of dressing and extra black pepper.
Serve
