Organic Pork Escalopes

Schnitzel heaven

We'll admit it, there's something a bit '70s about the pork escalope, but don't let that put you off. Lean, tender and full of delicate flavour, The Organic Butchery pork escalopes are so versatile, tasty and super-quick to cook, we thinks it's time for a renaissance. Providing lean protein, escalopes are an easy way to eat well. Our butchers have taken choice cuts, thoroughly trimmed them and bashed them flat so you don't have any prep to do.

The quality of our meat is reflective of our high-welfare and sustainability standards; our organic pigs are fed a healthy diet of grass, hay and concentrated food and are slow-grown to maturity, running, basking, and wallowing all year round. Living outdoors is obviously vital for the well-being of these intelligent creatures, but it’s also vital for the production of top-quality pork.

If you enjoy our pork escalopes, you'll find our organic pork leg steaks or our organic pork chop will also please the family.

At The Organic Butchery, our pork is bred and reared in a sustainable, high-welfare system by a farmer who's Soil Association certified organic. Pigs that live in outdoor systems such as this are active and playful. The idea that pigs are lazy is a myth. In reality they're mischievous and high-spirited, they love to gallop around in a pack and get up to all sorts of high jinks. That said, they're also quite partial to snoozing in the sun or wallowing in a cooling mud bath. What's important is they have the choice and the opportunity to do whichever they please, whenever they please.

    Can't Find the Answer?

If you cannot find the answer to your question and would like to speak to someone contact us and we will be happy to help.

The all-time classic way to enjoy pork escalopes is to transform them into breaded schnitzel and pan-frying them. The combination of the crispy crumb with the super-thin, tender pork is so good you sort of can't believe it's so simple. To amp up your schnitzel and achieve the crunchiest coating try using Japanese Panko breadcrumbs. Or go for a bit of Kiev action by folding over the meat to create a pocket to stuff with garlicky butter or indulgent blue cheese, then crumbing and frying as usual.
